Corinne C. Heggie has practiced as a partner at a national law firm and then as counsel at the largest majority women-owned law firm in Illinois. She has devoted her career to helping businesses and licensed professionals avoid, resolve and, when necessary, litigate business disputes. Ms. Heggie is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and DePaul University College of Law.  Ms. Heggie is admitted to practice law in Illinois and Missouri.

Ms. Heggie prepares wills, trusts, powers of attorney and various estate planning documents, assists with estate administration and handles probate.  She regularly counsels and drafts corporate documents on behalf of her clients. Ms. Heggie’s experience representing financial services companies makes her uniquely qualified to work with her clients’ banks, financial advisors, corporate trustees, and insurance companies. With her experience, Ms. Heggie understands how hard you work and will help you preserve your wealth.

Ms. Heggie has been recognized by the legal community and her peers.   In September, 2018, Ms. Heggie was selected as a 2019 Illinois Super Lawyer based exclusively on peer nominations.  She is serving as the First Vice-President of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois and will commence her one-year term as President May 30, 2019.  In 2017, Best Lawyers named Ms. Heggie a “Women of Influence” nationally in the legal profession.  In 2017, Women Owned Law, a national organization whose members work to bring equity, parity and influence for women entrepreneurs, appointed Ms. Heggie as Chicago’s Regional Chair.  In 2015, DePaul Magazine named Ms. Heggie one of its “14 under 40” for her outstanding contributions to the profession and mentorship of young attorneys.  For several years, Ms. Heggie has served in executive board member roles for the North Suburban Bar Association working to improve access to the legal system and attorney civic engagement.  The Chicago Bar Association also selected Ms. Heggie as a member of its Judicial Evaluation Committee.

Outside of work, Ms. Heggie is a frequent lecturer on substantive areas of the law and her work has been published in the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin.  She is active in her community as a member of Lyon School/Pleasant Ridge PTA and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish Women’s Club.  Ms. Heggie has served on the Executive Board of Glenview Community Church Nursery School and on the Board of Trustees of the Glenbrook District 225 High School Foundation.  She and her husband John are raising their three sons in Glenview where the family is active in scouting, sports, and ministries dedicated to women and children in crisis.
